Testosterone therapy

How much does testosterone therapy cost in Kingman, AZ?

At Cohler Care in Kingman, testosterone replacement therapy starts at $139 per month, billed $278 every 2 months for as long as you stay on therapy. That price includes your testosterone medication and supplies, the lab order, connecting with Robert once a month as needed, and your in-person visit every 6 months. TRT starts with a $50 consult, which is applied to your first billing if you sign up. What may cost extra: labs (bill your insurance, or self-pay labs through Access Lab or Fullscript) and added medications to support TRT (+$65/mo). Cohler Care doesn't bill insurance and accepts debit cards, credit cards, and HSA cards.

How is testosterone therapy billed?

TRT at Cohler Care starts at $139 per month and is billed $278 every 2 months for as long as you stay on therapy. Your $50 consult is applied to your first billing. Added medications to support TRT are +$65/mo. Every 6 months you'll have labs and an in-person visit with Robert, required for monitoring and prescribing regulations. There's no fee for that visit; the only extra cost is your labs. Ongoing programs are billed to a card on file.

How does testosterone therapy work at Cohler Care?

Testosterone therapy at Cohler Care uses weekly self-administered injections. Call (928) 440-6880 to schedule a $50 consult with Robert. At the consult you'll fill out a questionnaire; Robert then orders the required labs for treatment. Once results are in, he brings you back to review them and talk through whether TRT is right for you. If it's a fit, your first dose is given in the office (where you learn to self-administer). After that, you can connect with Robert once a month as needed, and you'll have labs and an in-person visit (no visit fee) every 6 months.

What are signs of low testosterone?

Common signs of low testosterone can include low energy, reduced sex drive, low mood, loss of muscle mass, and weight gain. Low testosterone can affect men of any age. Symptoms alone can't confirm low T. Your provider uses lab work to check your levels before recommending treatment.

What are the benefits of testosterone replacement therapy?

For men with confirmed low testosterone, benefits of treatment may include increased libido, more energy, increased muscle mass, and improved bone density. Results vary from person to person. Your provider monitors your labs and symptoms at follow-ups and adjusts your plan to keep treatment safe and effective.

Do I need lab work before starting hormone therapy?

Yes. After your consult, Robert orders the required labs for treatment. Labs are your cost. Labs: bill them to your insurance, or self-pay labs through Access Lab (home-collected labs) or Fullscript. For TRT, the lab order itself is included in your monthly price. Once results are in, Robert calls you back in to review them before you start a program. TRT patients also have labs and an in-person visit every 6 months, for monitoring and prescribing regulations; labs are the only extra cost at that visit. Self-pay labs through Access Lab or Fullscript typically run about $100–$300, depending on the panel; the price varies with the tests ordered.

What is the difference between hormone pellets and injections?

Testosterone injections at Cohler Care are given weekly, and you self-administer them at home after learning in the office. Hormone pellets are small implants placed under the skin during an in-office visit and release hormones gradually, so there is nothing to do day to day. At Cohler Care, bioidentical pellets are placed every 3–4 months.

How often are follow-up visits?

Medical weight loss patients come in monthly to pick up a 4-week supply of medication. Medications are prescribed one month at a time, and adjustments are made based on your unique needs. Talking with Robert about anything else costs nothing more. TRT patients can connect with Robert once a month as needed, and have labs and an in-person visit every 6 months for monitoring and prescribing regulations (no visit fee; labs are the only extra cost). Women's hormone replacement (non-pellet) patients follow up every 3 months, or more often as needed while fine-tuning medication and dose. Pellet patients have pellets placed every 3–4 months, and calls or visits with Robert in between are at no charge.

Hormone pellets

How much do hormone pellets cost at Cohler Care?

Hormone pellet therapy at Cohler Care starts with a $50 consult. If you go ahead, each pellet insertion starts at $350 for women or $575 for men, and pellets are placed every 3–4 months. Calls or visits with Robert in between are at no charge. Labs are your cost: bill them to your insurance, or self-pay labs through Access Lab (home-collected labs) or Fullscript. The $50 consult is not applied to pellets (the consult credit applies only to TRT and women's hormone replacement (non-pellet)). Cohler Care doesn't bill insurance and accepts debit cards, credit cards, and HSA cards.

Are hormone pellets available for women?

Yes. Cohler Care offers hormone pellet therapy for both women and men. For women, pellets start at $350, and for men they start at $575. Your provider will review your symptoms, health history, and labs to decide whether pellets are a good fit compared with other options.

What is a pellet insertion visit like?

The pellet insertion visit takes about 30 minutes. Robert places small bioidentical hormone pellets just under the skin through a small incision. Aftercare is simple, and the incision usually heals in about 3 days. Pellets are placed every 3–4 months.

Women's Hormone Replacement (Non-Pellet)

Does Cohler Care treat menopause symptoms?

The $99/mo is a monitoring fee: Robert monitors your therapy, keeps a valid prescription current, and sees you for follow-ups every 3 months, or more often as needed while fine-tuning your medication and dose. It does not include your medication. Medications such as pills and creams are picked up at your pharmacy and paid for by you, or by your insurance, FSA, or HSA if your plan covers them (check your plan's policies).
